BD Rail Ticket Alarm (“the extension”) is a free browser extension that alerts you when Bangladesh Railway tickets for your chosen train go on sale on eticket.railway.gov.bd. This page explains exactly what data it touches. In short: everything stays in your browser, except the ticket searches it sends to the railway's own ticketing servers on your behalf.

What it reads

• Your login session on eticket.railway.gov.bd — the session token, device ID and device key that the website itself keeps in your browser, and your display name (to show “Logged in as …”). The extension never sees or asks for your password.
• Ticket search results and the page you're on at eticket.railway.gov.bd — to find your train, light up the BOOK NOW button and outline free seats.

What it stores (only in your browser)

• Your settings: route, journey date, train, class, seat count, preferred coaches/seats, language.
• Saved trips you create, the last 10 run results, a cached train list for your routes, and the time it's armed for.

This is kept with chrome.storage.local on your computer. The login session is not copied into it.

Where data is sent

• Only to the railway's ticketing system: eticket.railway.gov.bd and railspaapi.shohoz.com — the API the official site itself uses (run by the railway's ticketing operator). The extension sends train searches with your session, exactly as the website's own Search button does.
• No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party services, no servers run by the developer.

What it never does

• Never sells, shares or transfers your data to anyone.
• Never uses your data for anything except the alert feature described here.
• Never handles your password, OTP or payment details.
• Never loads code from the internet — all its code ships inside the extension.

scripting	Connect to a ticket-site tab that was already open before the extension was installed or updated, so you don't have to reload it. Only on eticket.railway.gov.bd.

Deleting your data

Remove the extension from brave://extensions or chrome://extensions. The browser deletes everything it stored.

বিডি রেল টিকিট অ্যালার্ম ("এক্সটেনশন") একটি ফ্রি ব্রাউজার এক্সটেনশন, যা eticket.railway.gov.bd-এ আপনার বাছাই করা ট্রেনের টিকিট ছাড়লে আপনাকে জানায়। এটি কোন কোন তথ্য ছোঁয়, এখানে ঠিক তা-ই লেখা। সংক্ষেপে: সবকিছু আপনার ব্রাউজারেই থাকে — শুধু আপনার হয়ে ট্রেন খোঁজার রিকোয়েস্টগুলো রেলের নিজের টিকিট সার্ভারে যায়।

যা পড়ে

• eticket.railway.gov.bd-এ আপনার লগইন সেশন — সাইট নিজে আপনার ব্রাউজারে যে সেশন টোকেন, ডিভাইস আইডি ও ডিভাইস কী রাখে, আর আপনার নাম ("লগইন করা আছে …" দেখানোর জন্য)। এক্সটেনশন কখনো আপনার পাসওয়ার্ড দেখে না বা চায় না।
• ট্রেন খোঁজার ফলাফল আর আপনি যে পেজে আছেন — আপনার ট্রেন খুঁজতে, BOOK NOW জ্বালাতে আর খালি সিট দাগাতে।

যা জমা রাখে (শুধু আপনার ব্রাউজারে)

• আপনার সেটিংস: রুট, যাত্রার তারিখ, ট্রেন, ক্লাস, সিট সংখ্যা, পছন্দের বগি/সিট, ভাষা।
• আপনার সেভ করা ট্রিপ, শেষ ১০টি রানের ফলাফল, রুটের ট্রেনের তালিকা, আর কখন ARM করা আছে।

এগুলো আপনার কম্পিউটারে chrome.storage.local-এ থাকে। লগইন সেশন এখানে কপি করা হয় না।

তথ্য কোথায় যায়

• শুধু রেলের টিকিট সিস্টেমে: eticket.railway.gov.bd আর railspaapi.shohoz.com — অফিসিয়াল সাইট নিজে যে API ব্যবহার করে (রেলের টিকিটিং অপারেটর চালায়)। সাইটের নিজের Search বোতামের মতোই আপনার সেশন দিয়ে ট্রেন খোঁজে।
• কোনো অ্যানালিটিক্স, ট্র্যাকিং, বিজ্ঞাপন বা তৃতীয় পক্ষের সার্ভিস নেই; ডেভেলপারের কোনো সার্ভারও নেই।

যা কখনো করে না

• আপনার তথ্য কখনো বিক্রি, শেয়ার বা কাউকে হস্তান্তর করে না।
• এখানে লেখা অ্যালার্মের কাজ ছাড়া অন্য কিছুতে ব্যবহার করে না।
• পাসওয়ার্ড, OTP বা পেমেন্টের তথ্য কখনো ছোঁয় না।
• ইন্টারনেট থেকে কোনো কোড নামায় না — সব কোড এক্সটেনশনের ভেতরেই।

অনুমতি ও কারণ

offscreen	অ্যালার্মের আওয়াজ বাজানো (ক্লিক না করা ট্যাবে ব্রাউজার আওয়াজ আটকে দেয়)।
scripting	এক্সটেনশন ইনস্টল বা আপডেটের আগে থেকে খোলা টিকিট সাইটের ট্যাবের সাথে যুক্ত হওয়া, যাতে ট্যাব রিলোড করতে না হয়। শুধু eticket.railway.gov.bd-তে।

তথ্য মুছতে

brave://extensions বা chrome://extensions থেকে এক্সটেনশনটি সরিয়ে দিন। ব্রাউজার জমা থাকা সব তথ্য মুছে দেবে।
